Once when I was feeling pity about a beggar a wise person told me I should stop with it.
Because, as he said, every person makes their own choices which we must respect.
Have thought about it many times ever since.
My conclusion is we always – at least – try and see our fellowmen with respect.
Because who are we to judge before we know their world?
